The black leather jacket is the ultimate perfect wardrobe staple for transeasonal dressing. You can wear it with summer dresses, woolly jumpers, skin tight jeans or even maxi skirts. I don't have one but right now but I really wish I did as it is the ideal jacket for September. I'm still holding dearly onto the idea of wearing my summer dresses but its getting too chilly as we're heading rapidly towards autumn. A leather jacket would allow for me to still wear my floaty short dresses whilst keeping me warm.

However there is one thing about the leather jacket I just don't like... the fact it is made from animal skin. Pleather is getting more and more realistic nowadays so I'd certainly consider getting one of those over a real leather jacket - its a lot cheaper too!

Below is a selection of some Lookbookers offering a lot of inspiration in how to rock the black leather jacket.

Sheer Blouse

bow, h&m
blouse, urban outfitters
bag, thrifted
bracelets, river island
jeggings, primark
wedges, urban outfitters

I've developed quite a liking for button up shirts lately, they are just so versatile and easy to wear for work in the office. I brought this blouse a few weeks ago from the urban outfitters website to wear to a family meal just outside of Bath. Its pretty cool with a mix of sheer peach with faux leather collar and cuffs. I wore it to the meal with a short body con skirt and the same wedges as pictured here. I think it would look rather super with a pair of high waisted black faux leather shorts but I have yet to find a pair in my size that don't look cheap and nasty.

Thanks for all the lovely compliments on my art work I've received lately. Its so nice to hear you enjoy viewing my work. Just a reminder that you can 'like' my facebook page here for all my latest illustration news and posts and you can purchase postcard prints at my etsy store here.

Snake T-Shirt

shoes, new look

My t-shirt was a charity shop buy that I cropped to work with my high waisted shorts. I don't know what it is about the snake skin print but lately I've been really into wearing it!

Today I went to London to visit my sister. We went to the Natural History Museum where these photos are taken outside of and then we went shopping! The last bit wasn't such a good idea... we spent a little more then we were intending too! Its not too bad though, I got a really pretty sheer maxi skirt (yeah I'm getting a little over excited over the maxi trend at the moment) and a few different tops to pair them with.
